LAKE BURRENDONG.

RURAL RETREAT WITH COUNTRY HOSPITALITY.

Western NSW

One of our farthest flung centres sitting in the plains of western NSW, Lake Burrendong Sport and Recreation Centre offers disconnection with devices and plugs students straight into an authentic rural Australian experience.

Take your kids to a classroom of a different kind, with 67 hectares of unspoiled bushland hemmed in by trees stretching skyward, ‘roos bouncing across the horizon and soundtracked by your students having a blast. Our skilled team knows the place inside and out and are unmatched when it comes to creating memories that last a lifetime.

You can take your pick of outdoor activities such as archery, BMX biking, kayaking and initiatives. When both you and your students are done with the day’s exciting activities, ease into the evening with some of our evening activities followed by fantastic meals prepared by our skilled catering staff

We’re the premier outdoor education provider in NSW and have been for 70 years for good reason – come along to Lake Burrendong Sport and Recreation Centre and find out just why that is.

Our meals

The dining hall is the beating heart of our centre. The scene of healthy and nutritious daily meals, rowdy chatter and satisfied faces. We know your students will love our meals, but so will their parents. Our catering team understand what needs to be done with allergies and special diets, and lovingly prepare all our meals to the highest standards. Students are encouraged to try new foods as part of the camp experience with the understanding there will be some fussy eaters. Our camp experts work with you to meet these needs.

Clients are asked not to share their food with other clients under any circumstance or to take food from other clients as each client has their own dietary requirements and this is to reduce the risk of cross contamination.

Find out more about processes and procedures in place to manage allergies and anaphylaxis.

“I loved my time at Lake Burrendong, I got to hang out with my mates and do some fun activities. So far I've done archery, and today we did some swimming. It's nice to be at camp and have good chats and time with your mates.”

– Thomas, Year 11 student, Ungarie Central School
