Snowy Mountains

Set on 87 hectares of high alpine country, two hours south-west of Canberra in the Snowy Mountains, Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre offers outdoor bliss and adventure.

Jindabyne delivers nature on a grand scale – crisp blue skies, gold-hued plains and views of the grandeur of the snow topped Snowy Mountain Range. The centre is set in the alpine playground of Jindabyne, moments from Lake Jindabyne and Kosciuszko National Park and a short drive to the NSW snowfields, with multiple options in the winter season for snow sport camps.

Jindabyne offers a range of services, facilities and accommodation options for the perfect school camp in both warmer and cooler weather. Our specialty Snow Play, School Ski and Snowboard Camps are guaranteed to challenge and encourage your students to have the ultimate snow-filled adventures, whilst our warmer weather camps cater for those who wanted an equally action packed adventure on both land and sea with our great variety of activities and facilities.

ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS

Jindabyne offers high quality, clean accommodation that is fully catered for schools. We also have multiple options from self-contained units to lodges for sporting teams, families and community groups.

Schools catered accommodation

Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre has catered accommodation for up to 310 people. Our dormitory-style lodge accommodation sleeps eight people per room with shared ensuite bathrooms and separate ensuite rooms with linen for teachers. There is a common dining hall, a laundry onsite and we can accommodate people with a disability.

Weekend catered programs are available for groups and include accommodation and three meals per day Friday dinner to Sunday lunch.

Our meals

The dining hall is the beating heart of our centre. The scene of healthy and nutritious daily meals, rowdy chatter and satisfied faces. We know your students will love our meals, but so will their parents. Our catering team understand what needs to be done with allergies and special diets, and lovingly prepare all our meals to the highest standards. Students are encouraged to try new foods as part of the camp experience with the understanding there will be some fussy eaters. Our camp experts work with you to meet these needs.

Clients are asked not to share their food with other clients under any circumstance or to take food from other clients as each client has their own dietary requirements and this is to reduce the risk of cross contamination.

LOCATION AND TRANSPORT

The Centre is located five minutes from Jindabyne town centre, 5.5 hours south of Sydney and 2 hours from Canberra via the Monaro Highway. It is also 40 minutes from Thredbo and Perisher and 30 minutes away from Cooma airport.

We have a contract in place to provide bus transfers all over NSW and can arrange group pickups from Canberra or Cooma airports for a fee.

Free parking is available on site.
